Ashwagandha Powder

Ashwagandha, or withania somnifera, is an adaptogen that has calming qualities, supporting a healthy stress response. It is a tonic that may especially benefit those who experience worry, nervousness, or sleeplessness.

To use Ashwagandha powder, mix it into beverages such as warm milk, hot chocolate, smoothies, or tea following the daily dosage recommendations on the package. The ashwagandha powder you see on the shelves of chain stores, on Amazon, or elsewhere online likely comes from India and could be several years old when it finally reaches you, which inevitably means it is less potent.

In contrast, our finely-powdered ashwagandha root extract is powdered in small batches by our farm partner. We use ashwagandha that we sourced fresh from farms in the United States, each year ordering a fresh batch after harvest. Because we work directly with the farm that grows it, we're able to ensure it's fresh and potent—and freshness leads to a more powerful herb!
