Big Hug Tincture

$32.00
Grounding and uplifting emotional support

Big Hug is an herbal formula to fill the heart with joy, ease, and confidence. A blend of motherwort, rose, mimosa flower, and Appalachian mountain honey, Big Hug is both grounding and uplifting, empowering, nourishing and fiercely, unconditionally loving.

Motherwort, the key component to the formula, is deeply calming - a helpful herbal remedy for stress. It is an unconditionally loving embrace - very strong, sturdy, stable, almost fierce in its support while it melts and relaxes our resistance to life's hardships.

Mimosa, called "the happiness tree" in China, supports a healthy stress response and healthy mood. The action is described as uplifting, or even euphoric. The pink blossoms of this tree are so wildly beautiful and playful - like little pink pom-poms, and smell very sweet!

Rose is a star for working with our moods - specifically used for held-in our pent-up emotion. Easing sorrow, it actually allows us to feel into the emotions to open the heart in vulnerability. Rose is gentle, loving and supportive - it helps us work through the lessons we are faced with.

FAQ

What is the science behind the herbal mood enhancers in Big Hug?

Big Hug tincture combines “happiness herbs” like motherwort, mimosa flowers (albizia julibrissin), and rose, each known for their mood-enhancing properties. Motherwort calms and reduces stress, mimosa, also known as the "happiness tree," supports a healthy mood and stress response, while rose helps ease pent-up emotions, promoting emotional balance and heart opening.

Why should I choose Heilbron Herbs’ Big Hug tincture?

Our Big Hug tincture is unique in its freshness and quality. Our herbalist sources the herbs in Big Hug tincture from small, regenerative farms in the United States and processes the herbs in organic alcohol when they are fresh for optimal potency. Each batch of this tincture is crafted with meticulous quality control; after all, we use our tinctures ourselves and share them with our families!

Can Big Hug be used to ease menstruation pain?

Yes, we love using Big Hug to ease period cramps and other symptoms around your cycle. Motherwort is one of the best herbs for period pain because it tones the uterus and helps stimulate menstruation by increasing uterine circulation.

At the same time, it can help your mood! Motherwort, rose, and mimosa are all mood enhancing herbs, which can offer some emotional balance and relief for those who need it around their cycles.

Is Big Hug safe for pregnancy?

No. While Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is a tonic herb for female reproductive health outside of pregnancy, it mildly stimulates the uterus and can actually promote menses, so it falls in the category of herbs not to take while pregnant.

What about postpartum?

Yes, Big Hug is safe for postpartum use and offers several benefits during this time! Motherwort is a great herb for postpartum because it supports uterine recovery after birth, supports postpartum hormone balance, and is a natural mood boosting supplement for postpartum.

I’ve never taken herbal mood enhancers before. What do I need to know?

If you're new to herbal mood enhancers, start with a small dose to gauge your body's response. Big Hug is designed to be a gentle, supportive blend that can be taken one to three times daily. Incorporate it into your routine by taking it directly on your tongue (it’s delicious) or adding it to sparkling water, smoothies, or tea.

Consult with a healthcare provider if you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions.

Amazingly fast results

Yesterday evening was hugely stressful with work, and I woke up with somewhat of an emotional hangover from it all. I was feeling bogged down and grumpy, questioning my decisions. So for my morning tea, I had Big Hug, and wow, what a difference!! I really didn't expect to feel such immediate results, but I did. The dark cloud lifted, and everything felt hopeful again. Amazing. And it tastes wonderful too. I'm excited to make this my new morning ritual.

Big hug really feels just like a big hug! On those days where my nerves are feeling frazzled and my edges frayed, this helps ground me and brings me back to my body. And the taste is just lovely!

Big Hug has been an unbelievable addition to my day. My friend bought me my first bottle a few years back and it took me about 6 months to finally try it, but once I did, I was hooked. I feel calmer, warmer, and present in my day. Even my mom now uses it on the daily too! I am grateful for this product and what it for me.

pure, potent + uplifting

I can't put my finger on it, but Big Hug makes me feel...better. I crave it; the taste is lovely. I never "forget" to take it - as a matter of fact it's almost halfway gone after a few weeks of receiving it, while other tinctures next to it gather dust. I feel more open, loving, and easeful. I had a moment earlier this week where I was thinking to myself, 'what's changed? why am I much more calm/happy/chill?" As this is the first time I've felt this way during quarantine, I have to attribute it to Big Hug.
