Village Tea Mineral Infusion

Mineral rich herbal infusion

A fortifying and nutritive tea for women or those with uteruses - but also great for every body! This herbal infusion can be used as a tea for pregnancy and makes a great healthy hair supplement - using mineral rich herbs for hair growth, glowing skin and strong nails.

Tastes earthy and vegetal, with subtle hints of mint.

This herbal infusion can also be used as a tea for pregnancy - formulated with raspberry leaves, which have been used for over 2,000 years to tone the uterus in preparation for childbirth. Because there is some lack of information around the safety of horsetail during pregnancy, if you are pregnant and would like this blended without horsetail, please select Without Horsetail in the dropdown menu.

Contains 4 ounces loose leaf tea, packaged in a certified home-compostable bag.

These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Steep half an ounce per quart of hot water for at least four hours, preferably overnight or up to 24 hours. Drink throughout the day - refrigerate if not consumed within the day or in warmer temperatures. Can be flavored with cardamom pods or more mint!

Consult your healthcare provider prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a health condition, or are taking a medication.

Nettle leaf (Urtica dioica), milky oat seed (Avena sativa), raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus), marshmallow root (Althea officinalis), peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita), horsetail aerial parts (Equisetum arvense)

FAQ

Is Village Tea for women only? What are the benefits?

Village Tea is for everyone - the whole village!

It does, however, contain specifically beneficial herbs for women's health. In particular, red raspberry leaf tea benefits female- or uterus-specific hormonal and reproductive needs. European and Native American women have been using raspberry leaf tea for menstrual cramps and in pregnancy to prepare the uterus for labor for centuries.

Having said this, the health benefits of stinging nettles, raspberry leaf tea, oat tops and horsetail, make them great herbs for men, too.

What is an herbal infusion?

An herbal infusion is a liquid preparation made by soaking plant material in water to extract medicinal and nutritional content. The difference between tea and infusions is generally the extent to which the herbs are extracted—via either time or heat. A cup of raspberry leaf and nettle tea, steeped for a few minutes, will have some medicinal content, but the same herbs steeped overnight will have fully penetrated the nettle and raspberry leaves and the overnight infusion will be much stronger.

For this reason, we recommend that you steep half an ounce of this herbal tea per quart of hot water for at least four hours, preferably overnight or up to 24 hours.

Is herbal tea safe during pregnancy?

The safety of herbal tea during pregnancy depends on the specific herbs used. Some herbs are considered safe and beneficial, while others should be avoided. Safe herbs for pregnancy include ginger, peppermint, and red raspberry leaf.

Because there is some lack of information around the safety of horsetail (one of the main ingredients in our Village Tea) during pregnancy, we offer Village Tea either with or without this herb.

Can't get enough!

This is an incredibly delicious and balanced infusion blend that I lean on a few times a week. I've served it to friends who don't typically drink herbal tea and they always come back for seconds. Though I often make my own blends, this one continues to be a personal favorite, especially because the nettle is paired with marshmallow root. I steep mine in 200º water overnight, strain in the morning, add a pinch of redmond's salt, and drink throughout the day.

More Delicious with Every Hour

I love this tea so much! Not only is it deeply nourishing to my depleted systems, but it is absolutely delicious as well. I love starting a batch in the morning before I leave the house, so I have a calming, hydrating, and rejuvenating drink when I get back. The longer I let it steep, the more delicious it gets!

yummy!

This is my go to herbal tea. I drink it almost every night before going to sleep with a little bit of honey and I swear the milky oats help me sleep. It’s smooth, warm, and velvety. It also acts as a multivitamin. Highly recommend.
